The Integrative Therapy Services Department at The San Diego Cancer Research Institute offers support to the healing needs of cancer patients. The large staff of passionate and caring volunteers provide a variety of complementary approaches to help you on your healing journey. These volunteer services are provided at no charge to all cancer patients, not just patients of the San Diego Cancer Center. Check out the site and start enjoying some of these cancer support services from all the generous volunteers.(Personal note: Greg DeBerry is a regular cancer support coach volunteer at the San Diego Cancer Center Integrative Program and offers pro-bono hours for cancer patients on Monday afternoons. San Diego County Cancer Navigator is a program initiated by the Board of Supervisors to provide resource information to cancer patients, their families, health providers, and the public.

Pink-Link is a nonprofit organization which provides an online support resource for women affected by breast cancer.
On the website, www.pink-link.org , women can connect with other women with similar breast cancer issues using the search capabilities of an innovative online database. Members can create a personal journal, to keep family and friends updated about their cancer treatment and get help from on-staff professionals regarding nutrition, exercise, skin care and alternative medicine. All services provided on the website are completely free. They rely on the generosity of individual donors to fund this worthwhile organization. It is a great resource, please take a look.

Reiki is a form of integrative therapy intended as a complement to traditional medicine. It is a powerful yet gentle method of stress reduction and relaxation techniques that enhance the body's ability to heal itself.
Mary Hollander, RN has been a Reiki Master/Teacher in private practice since 2004. Mary is a dear friend of mine and has been a wonderful source of support to many, many cancer patients over the years. She is well known as a kind, loving and giving volunteer at the San Diego Cancer Center in her role as a Reiki Practitioner. I would highly recommend that you seek her out for assistance on your healing journey.
Mary also offers Flower Essences therapy as well. It can be a useful to assist you in maintaining your emotional balance.

| Dr. O. Carl Simonton is an internationally acclaimed oncologist, author, and speaker who is best known for his pioneering insights and research in the field of psychosocial oncology. Dr. Simonton introduced the concept that one's state of mind could influence his/her ability to survive cancer. (Greg's personal note: I found Dr. Simonton's book, The Healing Journey a mirror in many ways of my own cancer treatment experience. I highly recommend it to all cancer patients. The book and other valuable resources are available on the Simonton Center website.)
